Everything you need to know about the 2008 LHDC Recital

Picture Day :::::::::::::::::::::::: May 10th

You will be given a time for picture day. PLEASE BE EARLY!!!! We run on a very tight schedule and need each class to be ready to go BY the time they are scheduled for. We can wait only 5 minutes or less for people who are running late, at that time the picture will be taken regardless of who is there. PLEASE BE EARLY!

Dress Rehearsal :::::::::::::::: June 12th.

This is a beginning to end run-through of the entire show. We work on lighting, music, transitions, and dancing during this time. It takes quite a while, but the show looks great because of it.

Dancers are to come dressed in costumes and makeup, and are to find a place to sit in the audience during this time. This is the only chance dancers get to see the other dances, as it is unprofessional for performers to go sit in the audience after or before their number, especially in costume.

No food or drinks are allowed in the auditorium, the cafeteria is available if you need to eat a snack during rehearsal.

Performances June 13th and 14th

Dancers will be assigned a specific area of the school to be in at all times other than performing.  Please be respectful of the thing which may be in your area that belong to the school.  Please remain in your area before and after your performance. Please help to keep your area clean by picking up after yourself.

Flowers will be able to be ordered ahead of time, and a limited amount for sale in the lobby the days of the performances.

There will be an intermission where cookies and beverages are served.  Dancers: please do not come out to intermission in costumes and or makeup.

There will be parents and other helpers assigned to each area as well.

There will be show schedules posted in each area and on the doors to the stage so you can keep track of where we are in the show.

PLEASE remain quiet when back stage waiting to go on, even out in the hallway. The audience can hear you in between numbers if you are talking.

You should be in the wings, backstage, waiting to go on when the number ahead of you is performing.

Dancers have learned the dances they will perform with their class as well as a finale number where everyone dances.  All dancers are required unless you have talked with a teacher ahead of time to dance in the finale.
